Grow what you like?

I find it difficult to understand why people would grow anything in their garden that tthey wouldnt eat. After one has taken the time to nurture the little seeds into germination and then to transplant into the garden and finally into fruition why would someone grow something they cant stand to eat..

That to me is crazy. Having taken the time and energy necessary to grow something we must be at least willing to consume the fruit or have someone in the immediate who will. An example is we grow sunflowers and sorel every year.. The majority of the product goes to our exotic birds who thrive on them. That why we do it.

How about the rest of you?
